It is difficult to start a car in winter and requires targeted treatment to cure it.

It has entered the winter solstice, and many car owners are troubled by a problem - it is very difficult to start a car in winter. In fact, to solve the problem of difficult starting, one must first find the "cause". The difficulty of starting a car in winter is often due to the following reasons:

 Cause 1: The battery is emptied

Symptom: In winter, when the temperature drops, the battery is prone to "default, shutdown," and inability to start.

The battery

 Response methods:

 1. The lifespan of a battery generally does not exceed five years. If it exceeds three years, consider retirement;

 2. The normal pre start voltage of the battery is around 12 volts. If it drops below 11 volts or even lower, it indicates that it has been damaged and needs to be replaced;

 3. Try to park your car in the garage on winter nights to keep the battery away from the cold.

Cause 2: The engine oil is not awesome

Symptoms: Excessive oil impurities or high viscosity due to low temperature, resulting in difficulty starting.

 Response methods:

 1. Check the oil, replace it when the mileage or shelf life is up, don't worry about the money.

 2. Choose the right engine oil grade: Generally speaking, subtracting 35 from the value before the letter W in the grade indicates the lowest temperature that the engine oil can be used at. For example, 15W-40 engine oil can be used in areas above -20 ℃, but it is not suitable in colder areas.

 Cause 3: Non compliant antifreeze solution

Symptoms: Antifreeze mixed with water, reduced or deteriorated, resulting in engine strike.

 Response methods:

 1. The validity period of antifreeze is generally two years, while mixed antifreeze needs to be replaced within one year;

 2. Ensure that the antifreeze level is between the Max and Min scales. Immediately make up for any deficiencies, do not mix different brands and models, and never add water;

 3. The freezing point of each antifreeze is different, and when selecting it, it should be at least 10 ℃ lower than the lowest temperature in the vehicle's location.

 In addition, icing on the exhaust pipes, carbon buildup on the engine, and dirty fuel injectors can also affect the start of the car. In these aspects, it is also important to prevent and treat in advance.READ MORE!!
